Big City Beach Volleyball
Summer '09 Beach Volleyball registratino is now open

Big City's second year of Beach Volleyball at Water Taxi Beach is set to start the week of June 1st.
Located just one subway stop and 5 minutes from Grand Central,
Water Taxi Beach is a beach bar located along the East River in Long Island City.

The entrance fee for the 8 match 6 vs 6 Co-Ed beach season is set at $950.
The deadline to enter a team is May 29th.
Individuals without teams should come to the Open Scrimmage on Monday, June 1
Space is limited so sign up today. Last summer had over 50 teams

How to register a team:
1. E-mail: info@bigcityvolleyball.com, stating your team's intention to register.
2. Register your team online (includes a $250 deposit).
To Register online at BigCityVolleyball.com. Team registration deadline is May 29

How to register as an individual
1. Come to the Open Scrimmage at Water Taxi Beach, Monday June 1st at 6:30pm ready to play,
as teams form out of players at the same skill level.
2. Bring your checkbook, because no one will be placed on a team who hasn't paid.
If your team has 10 players, the fee will be $95 per person.
Fewer players on a team (more playing time) will cost slightly more.

$2 Entry Fee to enter the park, and bring your own beer (as much as you want, but no bottles)
This party is to benefit all the day drinkers out there and Preakness fans, who are not happy you can no longer bring beer to the Preakness.
The solution is to bring the party to Belmont.
It's only $2 to get in and you can bring as much beer as you want.
There will be races all day at Belmont with a simulcast of the big race, the Preakness Stakes.

Black 47 and their friends, Shilelagh Law
Take over The Knitting Factory for FIVE POINTS FÉILE before the club moves to Williamsburg and reopens. This night of rambunctiousness will be filmed on a five camera shoot for later issue on a number of DVDs and a possible TV broadcast.
Two full shows from two bands that will seek to bring back the spirit of the nearby old Five Points Irish immigrant area where, amongst other things, tap dancing originated.
